Preferably???

...or maybe they're concerned that someone with expert knowledge of the boys is unlikely to have, "Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills."

Thanks for the kind thought, Tiger (and very funny, L!).

So, if you know "libarchiver" at Hook, she IS a ref librarian, and though she might not be as interested in the early era as I would prefer, she does have the right qualifications as a librarian, etc., which it appears is what they really are looking for (as well as being a DEAD HEAD of course).

Hey lib--don't let a little inquisitional funny biz drive you away; we really are a nice group of old farts with too much time on our hands. There have been a great many posts from a couple of folks you know stirring up things along a classic "troll attack" fashion, so your reception wasn't all hugs and kisses (well, except from me, right? Since you responded to me about the job, I knew it was you) as a result.

Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, do you ever hear from Beka over there these days?

Anyhow, my bad.

FOR STARTERS, WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU GET THE RIGHT TO MENTION MY MOTHER ON AN INTERNET FORUM?

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, YOU CALLOUS INSENSITIVE PRICK, MY MOTHER IS RIGHT NOW IN A HOSPITAL COUGHING UP BLOOD WITH A PNEUMONIA. IF I HAD THE TIME AND YOU WERE JUST A BIT CLOSER, I WOULD COME UP TO THAT SHITHOLE IN MASSACHUSETS WHERE YOU LIVE, AND PUT YOUR LOSER ASS BACK IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A WHILE!

SECOND, IF YOU WERE NOT A DRY DRUNK WHO ONLY POPS IN HERE OCCASIONALLY "TO SHOOT THE BREEZE" YOU WOULD KNOW THAT I RARELY IF EVER ENGAGE TROLLS HERE, WITH THE SOLE EXCEPTION OF YOUR GOOD FRIEND CHRIS BELL, WHO HAS BEEN ATTACKING ME SINCE HIS VERY FIRST POSTS HERE. YOU SEEM TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT HE IS A PERVERT WHO DISRESPECTS THIS PLACE AND, NOT A SMALL NUMBER OF THE PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATE HERE, BECAUSE YOU ENJOY HIS HUMOR!

THIRD, YOU STUPID FUCK, YOURE MARRIED AND SHOULD NOT BE FAWNING OVER CHICKS HERE, ESPECIALLY NOT A SIZE 14 REDHEAD WITH A VOCABULARY LIKE A LONGSHOREMAN WHO CAME IN HERE TROLLING UP THE PLACE AND ACTING LIKE A QUEEN ON HER VERY FIRST POSTS HERE!

Ah--you really do like Dire; don't worry, on this playground, he can take care of himself. And, if we insulted CLIFF's mom, frankly, we deserve a bit of a rant, don't you think? I suppose that most of the folks here can accept or tolerate or ignore an occasional outburst, however over-the-top, if it's coupled with a record of contributions to the overall scene...I consider Dire and CLIFF good "forum friends" and am no more upset by some nasty back and forth between them than I was when I heard my parents fighting it out as a kid...in fact, I'd love to be able to hear my parents do that again, frankly. Not that this means I think of Dire and CLIFF as spouses or some such...

Cliffy seems to have some issues lately. Have no idea how he though i insulted his mom - comment was more of a colloquialism than anything else. Dont know he or his mom from a vole in the headlands.

whatevs - he is pissed at me from something about a year ago regarding Chris and just cannot seem to get over it. Kinda sad (and funny in a way) - however, given the fact that he is probably under tremendous stress due to his mom's ill health, this is one personal attack i should probably just let go. alot to work with in his post, but just not worth it.

vibes and health to his mom who is an innocent bystander in all of this silliness.

I know we were supposed to leave this behind, but just to clarify, you used "ma" in the generic sense, as an example of ANYONE, BUT I did cross a line in the "I love your mom" comment which happened to be a "positive" (ie, I do like Miss D, and imagining CLIFF's mother as an early era sort like Miss D was a compliment and inference of like mother like son) whereas the USUAL interpretation of such a line about what someone does with your mother is a "negative" (right?).

So, it was my bad. I assume CLIFF's letting me off the hook cause I apologized last night after I did it...

HOLY CAP-CRAP!!! I more or less like all of you here, but I don't like Aud sources because they remind me of the unwashed stinko bums that begged their way into shows.
(I think cliff would agree...?)

Dire, imo, your mother comment was not a big deal because you did'nt mean it in a personal way, but some other people I've known in my life, have gone nuke if you mention yo mama. So I DO understand anger issues...ASSHOLES!!! haha. I once told someone I knew a "yo mama" joke and I barely avoided a beatdown
But seriously, if my mom was laying in a hospital bed and very sick, I'd be sensitive also.

Just a wild guess, but I think alchohol and/or past drug use, common in the Dead community, plays a part in our present "in-sanity". ALL of you know how you relate under various influences(or jonezen). Except for the inane trolling/name changes by some, I think this forum is entertaining & informative (not that i contribute much)

Shit cliff, don't sweat the small stuff! It's just an F'n forum.

That said, to anyone who don't like me or ignore my inane posts..

San Pedro is very cool, you should try it! But its not something you will want to do frequently. Its a heavy body trip, alot of work to prepare, and very unpleasant to consume.

I am truly glad that I caught 3/29/90, I almost missed it because I had to catch a flight to Trinidad the next morning. I rate that show at 100 pts.

GREAT... just talked to her last night and maybe today her heart is warm and her feet will now follow. He had a great conversation during Oktoberfest and she just quoted "Touch of Grey" in a text last night, so I responded with another text quote from "Believe it or not". Might this be one of those Grateful Dead Phenomenas ?

I'll network some of the professors in other departments at UCSC on the Heart of Gold find.... Think she'll like farming phish and kite boarding ?
